Keychron K5 Max QMK/VIA Wireless Custom Mechanical Keyboard
Experience unparalleled performance with the K5 Max's 2.4 GHz wireless connection, offering a rapid 1000 Hz polling rate. Its Bluetooth 5.1 capability allows seamless switching between your computer, phone, and tablet, enabling smooth multitasking across three devices.
Keychron K5 Max

Ultra-slim
The innovative low-profile Gateron switches are 31% slimmer than traditional normal-profile switches, making the aluminum body K5 Max one of the world's thinnest wireless mechanical keyboards, while still delivering superior tactile response.

Program with QMK and VIA
QMK/VIA means endless possibilities for a fluid workflow. Thanks to our engineering team, for the first time in history, a wireless mechanical keyboard comes with out-of-the-box. Simply connect the K5 Max to your device with a cable, drag and drop your favorite keys or macro commands to remap any key you want on any system (macOS, Windows, or Linux).
The powerful ARM Cortex-M4 32-bit STM32F402 MCU equipped with 256K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers.

Get K5 Max Keymap working on VIA
The VIA code for the K5 Max version is still awaiting approval on Github, so it is not yet automatically recognized. Please download the corresponding keyboard map JSON file below, open VIA, enable "Show Design tab" on the "Settings" tab, then drag the JSON file to the "Design" tab on VIA to get the K5 Max keyboard map working on VIA.
For all devices
It offers a Mac layout while remaining compatible with Windows. It stands out in the market by providing Mac users with the same multimedia and function key functions as Apple keyboards, but with enhanced tactile feedback. Additionally, you can configure different keyboard mappings for Mac and Windows devices. The VIA software is compatible with macOS, Windows, and Linux. This keyboard includes keycaps for macOS and Windows, as well as extra Esc and Enter keys, facilitating seamless switching between operating systems.

Epic core internals
A powerful ARM-architecture MCU with 256KB flash provides greater flexibility for developers. With a polling rate of 1000 Hz in 2.4GHz and wired modes out of the box, latency is almost imperceptible even in competitive gaming.
Internal Sound Absorbing Foam
The K5 Max features advanced IXPE acoustic foam for silent keystrokes and enhanced comfort. Combined with elastic latex foam, it provides superior key switch support, responsiveness, and durability, elevating your typing experience. Redefining the standard for quiet, comfortable, and responsive typing.

Hot-swappable (Optional)
We also offer a hot-swappable version for you to choose from, meaning you can customize your typing experience without soldering; simply plug them in and you're done. We all have our unique typing preferences, which is why we offer a hot-swappable option on the K5 Max, so you can easily hot-swap every low-profile Gateron mechanical switch in seconds, customizing your typing experience without soldering. *The K5 Max is currently only compatible with Gateron/Keychron low-profile mechanical switches, as QMK does not support low-profile optical switches.

Low-profile Gateron switches
Gateron low-profile MX 2.0 mechanical switches are designed for enhanced reliability. Whether you prefer linear (red) or tactile (brown), Gateron's reputable switches are your best choice for a precise, smooth, and reliable fingertip feel.

Low-profile Double-shot PBT Keycaps
Designed for a premium feel, the K5 Max features our unique double-shot PBT keycaps, made from durable non-backlight-transmitting PBT material, which offers excellent oil resistance for long-term use.

Redesigned Stabilizers
We have redesigned the stabilizers to keep them at the same level as the switches, while ensuring they still provide reliability and reduce wobble on large keys such as the spacebar, left Shift, backspace, and Enter keys.

RGB Backlight
Equipped with over 22 RGB backlight settings (and a static white backlight option), the white backlight version comes with 14 backlight settings. You can easily further fine-tune the RGB hue, saturation, brightness, and effect speed.

Ergonomic Support
The three adjustable typing angles are designed to provide long-lasting ergonomic wrist support.
