The V5 Max is a QMK custom mechanical keyboard with 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. It features an 1800 compact layout, gasket mount design, sound-absorbing foam, double-shot PBT keycaps, and more, taking your typing experience to a new level with enhanced comfort and productivity.
Fully Customizable Keyboard
To create a fully customizable keyboard, we designed every component to be easily assembled so you can customize and fine-tune any or every part exactly how you want it.
Experience peak gaming performance with 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity and a rapid 1000 Hz polling rate. For seamless multitasking across computers, phones, and tablets, you can easily connect the V5 Max to up to three devices via Bluetooth 5.1.
Dual Receivers
For an even better 2.4 GHz wireless experience, the V5 Max includes both Type-C and Type-A receivers. Enjoy quick plug-and-play. Alternatively, store them in the keyboard's magnetic storage slot in the top-right corner.
Epic Core Inside the Keyboard
A powerful ARM-based MCU with 256K Flash will provide more flexibility for developers. The polling rate is 1000 Hz out of the box, which makes latency almost unnoticeable even in competitive gaming.
OSA Profile Double-Shot PBT Keycaps
These double-shot PBT keycaps have a similar height to the OEM profile and a SA-like shape. We named it OSA (OEM Spherical Angled) keycap. PBT keycaps will provide excellent oil resistance, enhance typing feel, and prevent legend fading.
Switch Layouts Between macOS and Windows
The Keychron V5 Max is designed with Mac users' experience in mind while still retaining compatibility for Windows devices, featuring a system toggle switch and an additional set of customized keycaps for both Windows and macOS systems. You can now save two different layouts on the keyboard, one for each system.
Gasket Mount Design
By adopting a gasket mount design and a PC (polycarbonate) plate, the V5 Max reduces acoustic resonance, providing a softer and quieter typing experience while enhancing flexibility.
Program with QMK and V5 Max
With full QMK and VIA support, you can easily program and remap every key on the keyboard. The open-source firmware means endless possibilities for keyboard layouts, shortcuts, backlight effects, and even the knob.

Because the V5 Max's VIA code is still awaiting approval from Github, it is not automatically recognized yet. Please download the corresponding keymap JSON file below, open VIA, enable "Show Design tab" on the "Settings" tab, and then drag the JSON file onto the "Design" tab in VIA to get the V5 Max keymap working in VIA.
Hot-swappable Support
Hot-swappable sockets are mounted on the PCB, so you can install or change the switches without soldering. The PCB supports both 3-pin and 5-pin MX mechanical switches.
South-facing RGB LED Lights
The south-facing RGB LED is designed to better illuminate the keyboard backlight from the typist's perspective and for premium non-transparent PBT keycaps. South-facing RGB also prevents interference when users install OEM or Cherry-profile alternative keycaps on the keyboard.
Gateron Jupiter Switches
Our exclusive Gateron Jupiter mechanical switches (for the fully assembled version only) are designed with a 3-pin structure, pre-lubed to meet reliable Gateron quality standards, and have an operating lifespan of up to 80 million keystrokes. Their unique LED diffuser design provides high RGB backlight transmittance and a softer backlighting effect. The Banana switches offer an early tactile bump at the top, similar to Panda switches on the market, with a uniquely smooth experience.
Screw-in PCB Stabilizers
Even small parts affect how you feel at your fingertips. We've integrated PCB-mounted screw-in stabilizers for a smoother typing experience, reducing wobble on large keys like the spacebar, Shift, Enter, and Delete. The Keychron V5 Max also supports third-party screw-in PCB stabilizers.
